Happy New Year!

Well well well – another new year coming to an end! So much has happened, I’m preparing this post well in advance! My PLAN for this post is to have a sum up of the year I’ve had – of amazing 2011 – but this may get off track.

In looking back at 2011, I was hoping to get an idea of what my New Years resolution should be. I’ve never done a resolution before, just a general one that covers everything that everyone else wants, you know, ‘I want to be skinnier, hotter, funnier, smarter, learn French, become a world renowned author, learn five thousand new skills and be the best person I could possibly be’. I know, I know, I don’t set the bar very high, do I? J

But this year, I wanted to kind of sit down, look at my strengths and weakness’, what I really want to accomplish this year and how to go about that. I’m still trying to figure it out after quite a bit of thought.

I guess it’s so hard because, luckily for me and for the rest of us, we have such a choice of what we want to do! No longer do we need to pick one career, get a partner, have children and become mothers. No, we don’t even need to pick ONE career! The career thing is the biggest concern for me, not the partner and mother thing. Whilst I want a son one day, and maybe a few other children, and definitely want to marry the boy I’m with now, that’s so long off. However, this whole ‘career and balance horse riding and a stable-ish career of music’ is quite difficult, no?

Anyway, a wrap up of my year.

- Went to uni

- Finished my first year of uni! Woo-hoo!

- Made new friends

- Lost a few old friends

- Went through a break-up

- Got back together and came out stronger on the other side

- Went to the Gold Coast for a week for a holiday

- Enrolled in tafe AND uni for next year – yes, I’m crazy

- Tutored a lot

- Tried to find a job other than tutoring (not as easy as it looks)

- Did a few weeks of an internship

- Went shopping lots

- Took up horse riding again; then dropped it again; then took it up again

- Tried to get fit

- Tried to get on a diet – once again, not as easy as it looks!

- Found out how much of a light weight I am when drinking!

- And how chronic my hangovers are

- Got sick…. A LOT

- Got 4 beautiful kittens, who then grew up into trouble making cats

- Car broke down

- Bought a new (to me) car

- Broke my iPhone

- Got a mac laptop and became addicted to typing anything I could

- Re-decorated my room

- Re-discovered the amazing feel of online shopping

- Got addicted to many new books and television shows – how GOOD are The Cinderella Pact and The Sleeping Beauty Proposal??? If you haven’t read those two books, get on it!

And so so so so so much more! I just didn’t get around to remembering it! Whoops. Next year, I pinky promise!

Anyway, I STILL don’t know my New Years resolutions, so I’ll get back to you.

Love!

Ciao
