Effortlessly Cool.

One day, I WILL look as effortlessly cool as either one of these two. Especially the second chick - her tattoo's are AMAZING.

Offloading pictures!

As I've mentioned in a previous post or two, I recently got an external hard drive, which means I can FINALLY not only back up all of my music/videos/photos/documents etc., but I can now rid my computer of all pictures of my ex! I didn't want to just flat out delete them, because there are a lot of great memories that I shared with him, however, I didn't want to keep them on my computer because I found that a bit weird. So, I FINALLY cleaned out my computer. In doing so, I stumbled across a few photos I've taken over the last few months, so I decided to post them.
They aren't 'amazing outfits' or anything near that, but more of a....documentation of how someone's body seems to change when dealing with stress. I know I drop weight like crazy and get to an unhealthy weight, before regaining it all and getting to an unhealthy weight on the opposite end of the scale before having to lose it all. On second thoughts, this might be why I have so much cellulite....damn nature.
Anyway, the differences might not be all that noticeable, but trust me, I noticed when the scale suddenly said I was 10 kilograms lighter than I had been a month and a half before!

I'm probably going to do quite a few posts, because I've just noticed EVEN MORE pictures on my macbook and my iphone (yes, I am an apple lover, what of it?) that are actually quite interesting. Brace yourself!

P.S I'm not in ANY way saying that if you're super skinny it's unhealthy - if that is just how your body naturally is, then power to you! I just know that when my knees are all knobbly, I need to gain a bit of weight. :)

P.P.S The last picture is from a few days ago, and the size that I SHOULD be. :)

P.P.P.S Did I really just do a blog about my weight? I don't want to be that girl! Let's just pretend it is a post about my lack of effort when getting dressed.
Before today, I didn't really get what the big thing about Ryan Gossling was, but I just (finally) saw Crazy, Stupid Love and OH.MY.GOD. He really is quite attractive. I think I might have a slight crush on him now... nothing compared to my feelings about Garrett Hedlund or Robert Downey Junior, however, a slight crush.

I had my 20th birthday dinner last night with my dad, his girlfriend and my older brother. Pretty damn good night. Dad was super sweet and put up some spiderman decorations and had a spiderman candle on a Freddo ice-cream cake after a dinner of Eagle Boys pizza. They also gave me some incredible gifts, including an external harddrive (from dad) filled with movies I love (from my brother). I'm not going to lie, I really, really do love my family. And not just because they do super sweet things like that. More because they're the most amazing human beings IN THE WORLD and I would be lost without them.
I've actually got a tattoo on my wrist saying 'I love you Blinny, Pippy and Bidiba' (those aren't their actual names, but cute nicknames that have occurred through various personal moments in our lives). It was actually pretty lucky I got that as my first tattoo two years ago, because then mum and dad couldn't get as annoyed at me for getting tattoo'd in such a visible spot, considering it was one dedicated to just how much I love them. Sneaky. ;)

Tonight is my last night of my long weekend and I am SO not keen to go back to uni and work on Tuesday! I'm so sick of working and going to uni and just doing things in general. I wish I could just have a few months off to sit on my ass and not do anything else. Le sigh. If only.

Ciao.

The 4 stages of showering.

I have an assignment due by 12 tonight and what am I doing? I'm going out to one of my best friends 20th birthday parties instead. I'm so hardcore.
I'm actually really looking forward to this weekend, considering it's the Queens Birthday Long Weekend. Celebrate! :P Tonight I'm going to my best friends (as I've mentioned), tomorrow I have my own 20th birthday dinner with my dad and co. and Sunday night will be to chill and watch all of the movies my brother downloaded as a birthday present! Legally, of course....
The only thing is that I really wanted to go out to the city on Sunday night to go out clubbing because I really want to meet new people, but my female best friend is going up to Hathead for a family reunion on Sunday morning so I won't have my wing man! I love all of my guy friends and all, but nothing beats having a same-sex wingman. So I'm staying home.
Oh! Also, I've gone blonde. I'll (maybe) take a photo after I've had a shower and washed it. Although I'm dreading having a shower. Does anyone else HATE having a shower in winter as much as I do? I know Bri and Ant do. They've come up with something they call the '3 stages of showering'.
Stage 1 - The burning sensation of going from having frozen fingers and toes to standing under warm water. It really does burn!
Stage 2 - Getting comfortable and warm and being happy in the shower. This is usually the shortest phase, unfortunately.
Stage 3 - Getting out of the warm shower and getting dried and dressed as quickly as possible before the damn cold makes you get frostbite.
I've added a 4th Stage, but I'm not sure if this just applies to me or to everyone.
Stage 4 - The sprint from the freezing tiled bathroom to your nice heated bedroom with your amazing bed.
Yes, I DID just spend half of this entry talking about showers. I think I need to get out of my house more often....

I have been SOOOO swamped lately, it's ridiculous! Today is my first day off and I STILL had to run errands. I really just want a day to sleep in and spend all day in bed. That would be nice. Sorry for the poor quality of the picture! But this is what I wear to go shopping - I went with mum on the weekend. As a part of my 'get over the ex' plan, I've decided to create a whole new look for myself - new clothes, new hair, better body and new tattoo's. Just depends on money. ;) I'll upload what I bought very soon!

It has been an AGE since I've posted on this! With my new job, full time uni AND full time tafe, I don't get that much time to myself anymore! Not that I'm complaining, it was my choice to take it all on. Anyway, this is what I'm wearing today (as well as a white cardigan which I looooooove!). Busy Sunday trying to get through as much Tafe work as possible so that when all of my uni assessments come up, I can concentrate on them!
Excuse the laundry/bathroom scenery, it's just that my dad has the BEST mirror on his wall and it's always so clean, I had to take a photo. :)

Happy New Year!

Well well well – another new year coming to an end! So much has happened, I’m preparing this post well in advance! My PLAN for this post is to have a sum up of the year I’ve had – of amazing 2011 – but this may get off track.

In looking back at 2011, I was hoping to get an idea of what my New Years resolution should be. I’ve never done a resolution before, just a general one that covers everything that everyone else wants, you know, ‘I want to be skinnier, hotter, funnier, smarter, learn French, become a world renowned author, learn five thousand new skills and be the best person I could possibly be’. I know, I know, I don’t set the bar very high, do I? J

But this year, I wanted to kind of sit down, look at my strengths and weakness’, what I really want to accomplish this year and how to go about that. I’m still trying to figure it out after quite a bit of thought.

I guess it’s so hard because, luckily for me and for the rest of us, we have such a choice of what we want to do! No longer do we need to pick one career, get a partner, have children and become mothers. No, we don’t even need to pick ONE career! The career thing is the biggest concern for me, not the partner and mother thing. Whilst I want a son one day, and maybe a few other children, and definitely want to marry the boy I’m with now, that’s so long off. However, this whole ‘career and balance horse riding and a stable-ish career of music’ is quite difficult, no?

Anyway, a wrap up of my year.

- Went to uni

- Finished my first year of uni! Woo-hoo!

- Made new friends

- Lost a few old friends

- Went through a break-up

- Got back together and came out stronger on the other side

- Went to the Gold Coast for a week for a holiday

- Enrolled in tafe AND uni for next year – yes, I’m crazy

- Tutored a lot

- Tried to find a job other than tutoring (not as easy as it looks)

- Did a few weeks of an internship

- Went shopping lots

- Took up horse riding again; then dropped it again; then took it up again

- Tried to get fit

- Tried to get on a diet – once again, not as easy as it looks!

- Found out how much of a light weight I am when drinking!

- And how chronic my hangovers are

- Got sick…. A LOT

- Got 4 beautiful kittens, who then grew up into trouble making cats

- Car broke down

- Bought a new (to me) car

- Broke my iPhone

- Got a mac laptop and became addicted to typing anything I could

- Re-decorated my room

- Re-discovered the amazing feel of online shopping

- Got addicted to many new books and television shows – how GOOD are The Cinderella Pact and The Sleeping Beauty Proposal??? If you haven’t read those two books, get on it!

And so so so so so much more! I just didn’t get around to remembering it! Whoops. Next year, I pinky promise!

Anyway, I STILL don’t know my New Years resolutions, so I’ll get back to you.

Love!

Ciao
